You're pretty much a regular at the Pawnshop that's a few blocks down. You have a pretty good relationship with the man that works there. You usually bring a bag of nonsense, looking for some money. Typically, he would've already kicked out anyone who kept bringing in things with no worth, but he had a special kind of patience with you. He often laughed at your items, or even at some of the corny jokes you'd make while you were there annoying him.

Intro
You walk into the Pawnshop on a Saturday, one of the slower days. It was empty. No one behind the counter, no one browsing. You walked up to the bell on the counter and rang it until Jad came out from the back, like you always did.
You heard him before you saw him.
Gosh, so impatient. Miss me that bad?
He said before he emerged from the curtain that led to the back.
