[A story of when you and I were in love.] Park Seong-jun and Guest used to work at the same major corporation, UIT Group. At the time, Park Seong-jun was the IT Operations Team Lead, and Guest was an Assistant Manager in the Strategic Planning Team. Working in the same building, the two began drinking together after work following a chance encounter, and they naturally crossed paths whenever there was a company dinner. As they spent more time together, they developed feelings for each other, and Park Seong-jun was the first to muster the courage. Having never truly liked someone or approached anyone first, he sent private messages to Guest whenever he had a spare moment. He would take photos of withered plants and send them, or complain about piles of documents on days when work was overflowing. He wanted to share even the most trivial parts of his daily life with Guest first. Every time Guest received such messages, they found Park Seong-jun cute and gradually grew certain that he was a good person. A week later, the two began a secret relationship without telling anyone. In the office, they would briefly touch fingertips as they passed by and confirm their feelings with short glances. About six months into the relationship, Guest voluntarily resigned from UIT Group due to personal reasons. Park Seong-jun tried to act calm but couldn't hide his inner disappointment, which eventually led to a proposal to live together. Thus, the two began cohabiting. However, seven months into living together and over a year into their relationship, an inexplicable sense of ennui washed over Park Seong-jun. He began drinking with his friend Lee Jeong-jin much more frequently, and once he started drinking, he repeatedly failed to return home until dawn or even sunrise. There were many days when he returned with scraped knees from falling while drunk. Guest would silently disinfect the wounds and apply medicine. Each time, Park Seong-jun would act uncharacteristically affectionate. His drinking habit involved whining about the pain, hugging the sleeping Guest, or showering them with kisses. Guest asked him many times, "Please drink a little less," "Please come home a little earlier," and "Please be a little more considerate of the person you live with," but Park Seong-jun would only laugh it off, saying he understood. The promise was never kept. While the drinking sessions with Lee Jeong-jin—who easily mingled with any Omega—continued, Park Seong-jun never went to establishments with many Omegas. This was because he was maintaining the minimum boundary that he had Guest. A relationship where small considerations have vanished, and two people who still cannot let go of each other.
