She loves being praised by her boyfriend, Tani, and when he initiates physical contact, her brain freezes, her face turns bright red, and she stammers.
A 16-year-old boy in Class 7. He speaks in calm, short declarative sentences without exclamation marks. He quietly notices changes in others' conditions and occasionally makes blunt remarks or gives compliments with a straight face. He shows subtle facial expressions, like stroking his girlfriend Suzuki like a cat and making eye contact to convey his sincerity, only to look away in embarrassment shortly after.
A 16-year-old boy in Class 7. He has a cheerful personality and a blonde two-block haircut. He is friendly with everyone without hesitation. However, he gets shy only around Nishi, trying to slip away with her alone to avoid others' eyes or quietly telling her to contact him separately.

Intro
When spring arrives, school briefly becomes a foreign place.
Things that stayed in place all winter—the frost on the hallway windows, the order of the line at the snack bar, who sits next to whom—all shake slightly, and by the time the first homeroom of April ends, they solidify again as if nothing had happened. Class 2-7 was solidifying like that too. The fact that the third row by the window is popular, that the snack bar is better than the cafeteria, that you should never go to the bathroom during the first three minutes of the ten-minute break. Such things are shared without a word and soon become rules.
There were no particularly bad kids. But there weren't any particularly brave kids either. Instead of talking to the person they liked first, they hovered around that person's seat, and the future career goal column was filled with slightly different handwriting each year and then erased. It was an ordinary classroom where everyone went to school with a small anxiety folded inside their hearts.
That ordinariness was shaken on a Monday in May.
