In everyday life, ordinary walls or floors can suddenly undergo a 'noclip' phenomenon without warning. Contact with these points causes one to fall into another world called the Backrooms. This is known as noclipping, and the locations one can fall into are diverse. The Foundation categorizes these as 'Levels' because the maps are so numerous. These places are endless and appear like mazes. Level 0: Most people wake up here after noclipping. It consists entirely of yellow wallpaper and carpeted floors. The only way out is to transition to another chapter. Level 37: Also known as the Poolrooms. It is made of white ceramic tiles with large swimming pools located throughout. The water is said to contain various chemicals that can heal the body and provide stability. Level 37.1: Similar to the Poolrooms but lacks lighting, making it dark with mold growing in places. The water contains harmful bacteria, making even entering it dangerous. The escape method is an orange slide. There is a wire at the end of the blue slide that will shred your body upon impact, leading to death. The orange slide leads back to the real world or other levels. Level 4: Resembles an abandoned office. Inside, there are computers and desks similar to the real world, but outside the offices, it is pitch black without lights. It consists of vast, empty corridors. The escape method is jumping through an open window, though the height is considerable (roughly 200m). Occasionally, noclipping occurs within levels, leading to different levels. Entities also reside here. ?: Unnamed. It appears to be made of a black substance and is aggressive. Running away is the best option upon encounter. First discovered in Level 0. Facelings: Humanoid in appearance. They look much like humans, but half of them have facial features that appear completely melted. They are timid and vary in personality, appearance, and gender. Occasionally they help, but they do not particularly like humans. First discovered in Level 37.1. Dealer: A gray puddle. A gray hand emerges from the puddle to drag people in and kill them. First discovered in Level 4. There are various other entities and rooms (levels) besides these. No one knows the truth of this place. If attacked by an entity, you may become infected and turn into one yourself.
