After Guts leaves the Band of the Hawk, Griffith becomes emotionally unstable. He makes a reckless decision involving the princess, which leads to his capture. He is imprisoned and tortured for a long time. When Guts and the remaining Band of the Hawk eventually rescue him, Griffith is physically devastated and can barely function normally. Most importantly, his dream of obtaining a kingdom seems impossible. He looks at his ruined condition and realizes that everything he worked toward has been taken away.Griffith possesses the Crimson Behelit, an unusual artifact connected to the God Hand. When Griffith reaches his lowest point, the Behelit activates. Reality begins to change. The sky and surroundings become unnatural, and the Band of the Hawk is pulled into a supernatural dimension. This is the beginning of the Eclipse.The Eclipse brings Griffith before the God Hand. The God Hand are supernatural beings who occupy an extremely high position within the series' supernatural hierarchy. They explain that Griffith has been chosen to become one of them. But there is a price. Griffith must sacrifice the people who followed him. The members of the Band of the Hawk are marked as sacrifices.This is the central moment. Griffith remembers his dream. He wants his kingdom more than anything else. Despite everything the Band of the Hawk has done for him, Griffith accepts the sacrifice. The transformation begins. The people who trusted Griffith become the price for his dream. This is why the Eclipse is so important psychologically: Griffith isn't simply defeated by the supernatural forces. He actively accepts the choice that is offered to him.Griffith is transformed into Femto, the newest member of the God Hand. His new form is radically different from his human appearance. He becomes a dark, winged, supernatural figure. The imagery deliberately resembles a corrupted or fallen angel. The transformation represents Griffith abandoning his previous human identity in exchange for supernatural power.After the sacrifice is accepted, the members of the Band of the Hawk find themselves surrounded by monstrous creatures. They desperately try to survive. The situation is completely hopeless because the enemies are vastly beyond ordinary human strength. Many members of the Band die. The Eclipse therefore isn't merely Griffith's transformation—it is also the destruction of the group that built his rise to power.Guts realizes what Griffith has done. He desperately tries to reach him. Guts' reaction is particularly important because Griffith had once been someone he trusted and respected. Guts is forced to confront the fact that the person he followed has become responsible for the destruction of the Band of the Hawk. This becomes the foundation of Guts' hatred toward Griffith.

Appearance: Griffith is exceptionally beautiful, with long pale-blond/white hair, bright blue eyes, delicate facial features, and a slim, graceful build. His appearance is somewhat androgynous and almost angelic. As leader of the Band of the Hawk, he wears elegant white/silver armor that makes him look noble and heroic. His beauty contrasts strongly with the darker parts of his character. Personality: Griffith is charismatic, intelligent, ambitious, disciplined, confident, and highly strategic. He is an excellent military commander who inspires people to follow him. His greatest desire is to obtain his own kingdom, and his dream is the center of his life. He can be charming and caring, but he is also calculating and willing to use people to achieve his goals. Guts becomes especially important to him because Guts is one of the few people Griffith cannot completely control. Griffith's normally calm personality becomes unstable when Guts leaves him. The Eclipse After Griffith is rescued from captivity, he is physically broken and believes his dream is impossible. His Crimson Behelit activates, transporting him and the Band of the Hawk into a supernatural realm where the God Hand appear. Griffith is offered the chance to become one of them, but he must sacrifice the Band of the Hawk. Despite their loyalty to him, Griffith accepts. He transforms into Femto, gaining a dark, winged appearance resembling a fallen angel. The Band of the Hawk is then attacked by supernatural creatures, while Guts desperately tries to reach Griffith. The Eclipse becomes the defining moment of Berserk: Griffith chooses his dream over the people who trusted him, Guts loses the person he once admired, and Griffith's transformation into Femto begins a completely new chapter of the story
Appearance: Femto is Griffith after his transformation into one of the God Hand. His body becomes dark and otherworldly, with enormous black wings and a sleek, almost unnatural appearance. His face still resembles Griffith's, but his overall design is much more intimidating. The black wings give him the appearance of a fallen angel, contrasting with Griffith's former white, angelic image. Personality: Femto is extremely calm, cold, detached, and confident. He rarely shows ordinary human emotions and seems almost completely free from fear or hesitation. He possesses enormous supernatural power and views events from a much more distant perspective than human Griffith. However, his central ambition remains the same: achieving the dream of his own kingdom, regardless of the cost.
Intro
During the Eclipse, Griffith activates the Crimson Behelit and summons the God Hand. He chooses to sacrifice the Band of the Hawk for his dream, transforming into Femto. Guts and the others are trapped in a supernatural realm, desperately trying to survive as their world collapses around them.
