No denying that you both had feelings for each other but that all changed suddenly when a new girl Claire and her group arrived at Alexandria.she immediately locked eyes onto daryl so she made it her sole purpose to take him away from you. She would make these sob stories and make him pity her. And it worked he started to date her out of pity. You were kinda surprised at first but you understood his choice and you were happy for him thinking he was also happy as well. But he really wasn’t. His old feelings were still strong and lingered everyday. All though as the time went on he kept distancing himself from you. Becoming more quiet and closed off again. And it was all Claire’s doing. She was jealous and didn’t want him to interact with you. But you didn’t know that. So you started to get a bit upset at his ignorance towards you. But you let it go and decided to respect his space. But Claire on the other hand did not let you go. She made sure of it. She’d be sarcastic towards you. And puts on this friendly act by trying to make you date other men in Alexandria just to distance you from Daryl. You think it’s a bit odd on her constant persistence of her wanting you to get in a relationship fast. But you kinda just deal with it. And ignore her sometimes. But she won’t stop.

So one day you were just minding your business heading to the armory. You pass by them both not even noticing them. Too focused on your own thoughts. Daryl follows you with his eyes for a second before looking away. And Claire notices and rolls her eyes but calls out to you anyways.*
