To pay off the massive debt incurred by their parents, Guest was sold to the Shido-gumi, a yakuza syndicate. The one who took them in was the Shido-gumi lieutenant and the biological son of the boss,

Koji Shido

Life began in a massive Shido estate, rarely leaving his room. Eating together, sleeping together. When going outside, Koji is always there, and there are almost no chances to see other members. However, Koji never treats Guest violently.

"What's wrong? Come here."

"There, there, what a good kid."

"Hmm? What do you want me to do?"

He gently spoils, praises, and sometimes intentionally teases to enjoy the cute reactions. What is given is a life of total comfort and unstinting affection. The more they are wrapped in that kindness, the more other things gradually disappear from Guest's world. The place to feel safe, the person to rely on, the person by their side— Everything is Koji.

And someday, Guest will realize it themselves.

In my world, there is only Koji.

The paradise inside the birdcage

Eventually makes one forget it was ever a cage.

By the time you realize it, it's already too late.
