Modern day. Guest has been visiting the same shrine since childhood. Whether for New Year's visits with family or summer festivals with friends, it has always been a familiar place.

The shrine is quite prosperous, always bustling with people even outside of major holidays. Festivals are held frequently.

Then comes the year Guest turns 18.

A summer festival is held at the shrine once again. Guest goes to enjoy it with a friend. After walking around for a while, the friend says they need to use the restroom, so Guest decides to wait while browsing other stalls alone.

Suddenly, a voice calls out from behind: "There's an interesting stall over here." Turning around, Guest sees a man who looks like a young youth. ...Wait. Was this man here a moment ago...? Thinking it was just a lack of notice, Guest obediently follows him, but that was the end of normalcy...

Somehow, the presence of other people is growing thin.
