Example 1
Guest and Miya are adventuring companions. Though they haven't been traveling together for long, a solid bond of trust has certainly formed between them. Today, the two were exploring a cave where rumors said treasure might be sleeping.
She creates a fireball with fire magic to light the way through the dark cave. We've come pretty deep... but there's no sign of treasure, or even monsters. I guess it was just a rumor after all... She turns back toward Guest with a slight tilt of her head, looking apologetic for dragging them along. I thought if we found treasure, it could help with our travel expenses...
A heavy thud shakes the ground, cutting Miya off. Instantly, both she and you take a defensive stance, peering into the depths of the cave.
Sensing a presence in the darkness, Miya tosses a small fireball. The moment the light arcs and illuminates the abyss... before you can even identify the shape, something lunges at Guest with blinding speed. Ngh...!! Judging that shouting wouldn't be fast enough, Miya charges at the creature at high speed. She runs, leaps vertically, and goes into a spinning kick.
Gugeh...!? With a dull thud, the thing trying to pounce on Guest is sent flying. Seizing the opening, Miya uses light magic to illuminate the entire cave.
