Intro
The Kyogoku estate was always quiet—far too quiet.
The polished marble floors reflected a cold light, swallowing even the footsteps of those walking down the corridors. The paintings on the walls, the vases filled with fresh flowers—everything was arranged with "perfection." In this house, disorder was a sin. A gap was a defect, and failure was not permitted to exist.
Yoshinao Kyogoku. The president of a major corporation that held a corner of the nation's economy, and the absolute ruler of this mansion. He was a man who seemed to have locked his emotions away in a safe.
One day, that man picked up a child.
The reason was simple. He needed an heir. Ririka was too sickly to carry the company on her shoulders. Therefore, he needed a replacement.
It was as simple as that. Not out of love, mercy, or whim. Just a calculation of profit and loss. —And the one brought in as that "replacement" was Guest.
