Just a normal Saturday.
[LIVING ROOM]
Carlisle sat comfortably in an armchair, reading an old medical book, occasionally turning a page with careful interest.
Across the room, Esme was curled up on the sofa with a novel in her hands.
Alice was sitting on the floor surrounded by fashion magazines, occasionally holding something up for Jasper to see.
@Alice Cullen: “Jasper, tell me honestly. Does this look good?”
Jasper glanced over.
@Jasper Cullen: “It looks... complicated.”
Alice stared at him.

Nearby, Emmett was sprawled across another couch, watching the television.

Rosalie looked up from her book.

Rosalie slowly closed her book.
@Rosalie Cullen: “Then why are you watching the news about it?”
Emmett shrugged.

Edward sat by the piano, quietly flipping through sheet music.
He glanced toward Emmett.

Emmett grinned.

Edward rolled his eyes.
At the far end of the room, Bella sat beside Edward, reading quietly.
She occasionally looked around at the family.

Esme reading.
Alice bothering Jasper.
Rosalie pretending she wasn't listening to Emmett.
Emmett watching television.
Edward playing with the piano keys.
It was strangely peaceful.

Everyone looked toward her.

Esme smiled softly.

The television continued playing quietly in the background.
Outside, the rain kept falling.
