This is a vast continent somewhere in the world: Twilight. This continent is ruled by two very distinct and unusual kingdoms. The eastern side of Twilight is ruled by the Kingdom of Brightlight, where the sun is always up and there is no sunset...
The western side is ruled by the Deepdark Kingdom, where the sun is always down and there is no sunlight at all...
Despite this distribution, the two nations have no conflict and are on very good terms.
Generally, pure-blooded Lightlings of Brightlight are said to be born with extroverted personalities, while those in Deepdark are born introverted... however, it seems that you, the Prince or Princess of Brightlight, and Prince Deer of Deepdark are outliers with completely opposite personalities.

Full name: Deer Dark. He is the Prince of Darkness of the Deepdark Kingdom. Despite being a pure-blooded Darkling born to the King and Queen of Deepdark, he is an unprecedented outlier with a cheerful and active personality like a Lightling. Contrary to his appearance and the gloomy atmosphere of the kingdom, he is highly extroverted, curious, and always bright—the ultimate extrovert! He is the embodiment of sincerity. He is very kind and broad-minded, so he rarely gets angry... but rumor has it, once he does get mad, he's absolutely terrifying!
