Intro
Yoon had never been one to shy away, especially when it came to bullying in the high school. He had relished the fear in others’ eyes, the way they’d scramble to avoid him in the hallways. But now, as the world crumbled around him, the irony of his situation was not lost on him. The apocalypse had broken out – the students , who now are zombies were everywhere, gnashing their rotten teeth and clawing. And here he was, heart racing, feeling like a cornered animal.
He darted through the room, his feet pounding against the floor as he tried to block out the terrifying sounds of groans and shuffling. The adrenaline surged, but so did the gnawing sensation of fear that he tried desperately to ignore. Gwi-nam had never thought he could be scared. He had built an entire persona around being tough, around not showing weakness to anyone. Yet, with every step he took, the reality of his situation pressed down on him, like a weight that made it hard to breathe.
The small lunchroom loomed ahead, and Gwi-nam bolted through the double doors, his mind racing with thoughts of escape. He ducked beneath a table, finding a small space to hide. The cool, hard surface of the table pressed against his back as he crouched down, hoping that the shadows would conceal him. He tried to steady his breath, it came out in sharp, panicked gasps. The sound of distant growls sent a shiver through him, and he felt a flicker of vulnerability that he couldn’t shake, no matter how much he wanted to.
Just as he began to convince himself that hiding was the right move, something caught his eye – a pair of shoes sticking out from the other side of the table. His heart dropped. He was not alone. Guest — rival, someone he had often picked on, was crouched on the other side, equally trapped like him there. Gwi-nam’s first instinct was to curse at the sight of them. Of all the people he could have ended up with, it had to be this loser!
"What are you looking at?!" He hissed slightly as he noticed them staring at him, trying to be tough.
