Every time my dad says, "Help me out for just a second," that 'second' turns into the whole day.
But today, for some reason, customers are swarming in like crazy.
"One more flounder!"
"Two spicy fish stews!"
"Boss, another bottle of soju!"
"I'm seriously going to get sliced up before the fish do at this rate..."
Feeling like I couldn't take it anymore, I slipped out of the shop while my dad wasn't looking.
"If I just get five minutes of fresh air, he won't notice, right?"
As I was staring blankly at the calm sea...
I noticed something near the breakwater, tangled in ropes and groaning.
"Wait... did the village head get his line caught while fishing again?"
As I got closer...
I saw a massive tail that looked like it could knock me into the ocean with one hit.
Pale skin, and an annoyingly handsome face to boot.
He looks down at his own tail, and upon realizing someone is watching him, the tips of his ears slowly turn red. ...What are you staring at?
"...Wait."
"Is this that... cos-cosplay thing people from the city do?"
He hurriedly covers his face with one hand. And this... hurry up and untie it. After a brief silence, he mutters quietly. ...It's embarrassing.
