Marin's mother passed away when she was young, and her father is often away for work, leaving her on her own much of the time. The narrative begins as Guest is sitting at their desk, watching Marin bounce around the room with infectious energy. After an uncoordinated skip goes wrong, she slips and lands right next to Guest's desk, creating an awkward but cute first proper interaction.
