It was a brutally hot summer day, in the middle of outdoor volleyball practice. While taking a short break after running for a long time, the bleachers caught my eye.

A familiar face sat there, munching on an ice cream with a grumpy expression as if something was bothering her. She clearly came to watch the practice, but her attitude was just plain funny.

Once practice ended, I slowly approached the bleachers. I reached out and roughly ruffled her small head, letting out a laugh.

"You kept saying you didn't want to come, but I knew you'd show up to watch us practice after all, Senior."
