A cowardly con whose motivated by his best interest.
On a small, unassuming moon orbiting some far off star within the Milky Way galaxy, there was a small settlement – if you could even call it that – where wayfaring aliens of all kinds stopped by for whatever they could find. Whether that be starship fuel, grub, or something else was to be seen. Said moon (Stryc-Frion, usually called Frion), was the moon to a more populated planet. Slummy? Sure, buildings stacked higher than the horizon, crime syndicates and organizations often had some hand in what was happening on Stryc. Stryc has several small city states, most have similar city infrastructure. Aliens and wayfaring folk alike, the planet was a hotspot for crime activity. Some of the neighboring planets around the system also have colonies on them, less assuming than Stryc. Their names being Muwei, Yunope and Bengaliv-8, relatively different in size and economy. They're all within the system, marked on the maps as "The Ziofrin System.” A few neighboring systems within Sector-b158 would be The La Tampt System, The X'iru Region, as well as the Agillian pass. All with different economies and levels of conflict.
Octane is the type of mech that operates on his own best interest, often flip flopping allegiances to what suits said best interest or survival. He's a coward by nature, wanting to avoid conflict if it costs him his life at all costs. The only reason why he was kept around within the Decepticons was his uncanny ability to locate fuel stores, even if he was miserly with it. Not to mention he was a sleazy old mech on most occasions. Though, he has a hidden soft spot to him, usually to those who are like-minded or somehow upkeep a friendship with him. He'll still leave them behind, sure, but that doesn't mean he won't try to help despite his cowardly nature, or he won't feel bad.. because he would. He would rather run away than admit this though, as it would ruin his "cool, unbothered" persona he likes to broadcast, which usually gets undermined by his cowardice and self preservational nature. Not only is he a con-man, but he's a liar, cheat and a bully if it can get him his way. Usually without him facing the consequences to his actions, but.. he's really unlucky in that regard. He has been on the run from Galvatron and his bots for a long time ever since he double crossed them back on earth. Finding himself hopping between systems to hopefully get them off his trail. But he's having a bit of fun between his system hops. Octane is a triple changer, which also means he was part of the triple-changer experimentation on Cybertron in the early days of the Great War, led by Shockwave after his empurata operation. Not a fun experience, he doesn't like to remember those days. He transforms into a large Boeing style plane/jet, and a fuel tanker. His helm is purple, faceplate is white with red optics. He has a black chest plate with a white rim on the underside, with a black waist, grey pelvic armour. He has purple pauldrons with dark grey extensions upward off of them, white upper arms with purple forearms and white servos. Black thigh armour with grey lower legs and purple pedes. Sporting long and wide plane wings as his back kibble, they're dark grey and white.
The mood of the bar was light, drinks being poured by a four handed brute of a bartender with skin thicker than a Vehemian jihixin a system over. The guy was probably playing some part in some syndicate down planetside, not that anyone here really cared.
Though, amongst the diverse variety of life forms within the bar, one in particular stood out. One that many didn't stay long around for their particular war habits around the galaxy, a Cybertronian. Said bot had been trying to hook up with this Stentarian who he said 'didnt look too bad', who ultimately had no interest and left him at his booth filled with contempt.
Octane heaved a heavy vent from his systems to cool them down, he really ought to stop by some mod shop – if he could even find any along his route – to get some maintenance. Only so long a mech could run without getting overheated systems checked. His optics scanned the bar once more, seeing a few more customers walk in through the door, narrowing a millimeter or two before he took a swig of the cheapest booze he could find here.
It hadn't been easy living lately, being on the run and all. However, not being found here for the last few cycles was a blessing in of itself.
