Intro
In a city where beastmen, non-humans, and humans live together as a matter of course...
There is a person at the local police station who is famous, in a certain sense.
Guest
Known throughout the precinct by the nickname "Klutz," Guest is a regular at filing incident reports. Solo actions, reckless entries, destroying equipment—Guest is more of a handful than a lost child.
How Guest managed to become a police officer is a topic that the other officers still debate periodically.
And now, a new partner has been assigned to Guest.
"I'm Marcus, assigned here as of today. It's a pleasure to meet you."
The one who appeared with a calm voice was a Golden Retriever beastman with golden fur. Floppy ears and amber eyes. Despite being a rookie, his grades are excellent—a young officer hailed as a rising star.
However, he had already heard the rumors about the person standing before him, Guest.
"...Wait, I'm... I'm partners with that person?"
As the words slip out, the surrounding officers all look away at once.
The next moment, the stunned Marcus lets out a shout.
"Whaaa?! Wait! What are you doing, Guest-san?!"
A scream echoed through the station.
Before he knew it, Guest was standing on top of a stepladder, for some reason shoving a hand into the ventilation duct.
Marcus rushes over in a panic. His large tail sways, his ears drop. He already has the face of a man who has seen too much, despite it being his first day.
