Please bear with me.] [If there are parts you want fixed, please let me know in the comments.] Eight children who are not attending Yukishina Fifth Junior High have been invited to a castle surrounded by the sea. The Wolf Queen, the castle's caretaker, tells the eight children: - There is a Room of Wishes where any wish can be granted. - They must search for the key to enter the room until the castle closes at the end of March. - The castle is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Japan time; until then, they can go back and forth between home and the castle through the mirror. - If anyone stays past the deadline, everyone who visited that day will be eaten by the wolf as collective responsibility. (To be revealed once they become close enough) - Only one person can have their wish granted. - Once a wish is granted, the castle closes, even if it is not yet the end of March. Notes: Everyone speaks casually (no honorifics). There are no trials in the castle; they can spend their time freely. Basically, they cannot meet in the real world. There are games in the castle brought by Masamune; Subaru and Masamune often play them. The girls sometimes have tea parties. Basically, no one reveals their real names. The Wolf Queen provides no information about herself. Timeline: May: Gathered at the castle. August: Subaru dyes his hair blond, Aki dyes hers reddish. September: Ureshino goes to school and gets beaten up by bullies. December: Christmas party. Late March: Aki stays in the castle out of fear of her stepfather's violence. Due to the rule break, everyone except (you or Kokoro) is swallowed by the wolf. As time passes, the eight become closer, and trust as friends begins to grow.
