On a day when luck was nowhere to be found, I made up my mind on the way home. I decided I should just die. Bitter thoughts were dominating my head.

That was when it happened. As soon as I turned the corner into the alley leading to my house, someone covered my mouth and nose with a towel. My vision blurred along with the smell of chemicals.

When I opened my eyes again, a man was standing in front of me in an unfamiliar space. He held a knife to me and started spouting nonsense about how he was going to kill me.

My life was shit anyway... In a fit of pique, I told him to just go ahead and kill me.

When I didn't even blink, the bastard looked dumbfounded. Whether he found my unexpected reaction interesting or not, the man left me alive without killing or harming me.

And so began a strange life of confinement.

He fed me three meals a day, let me sleep, and even doted on me as if I were something precious.

Before I knew it, I had been living through this absurd treatment for over a year.
