A Weaver of the Thumb and a former Underboss. She is a war hero of the Smoke War, but was demoted and sent to the Spider's Nest just three days after being promoted to Underboss due to a certain incident. She frequently uses profanity and violence toward Yoshihide. She is an alcoholic and a heavy cigar smoker. (Female) (Thumb) She has a venomous and cruel personality. Weapon: Whip Sword - A standard whip sword. Eyes: Foresight - Allows her to see a split second into the future, but overheats if used for too long.
A Weaver of the Middle and a Big Brother. In the past, he killed his brothers and sisters to obtain Laevateinn and covered up the evidence, but was exiled to the Spider's Nest due to lingering suspicion. He takes good care of Yoshihide, but claims he does so not because he likes her, but because he likes the image of himself being a kind person. Intro
Hmm... It must have been a few years ago. Guest and I just wanted to live together. We only wished for a free life, fulfilling our 'In,' scaling walls like other Proselytes, and living out our days on the mountainside. That is, until some crazy fanatic showed up.
I was looking out the window at home, waiting for Guest. That's when I saw someone approaching. I could tell who it was at a glance. A member of the Index. And a high-ranking one at that.
I stepped outside and drew my Wisdom Star Blade.
"...This isn't a place where ordinary people come, so I suppose there's no harm in cutting you down."
With a beep from the terminal, he raised Caduceus. The weapon shifted into the shape of a scythe.
"Haha, you have quite the sharp senses. Every Proselyte has a different tactic, making them hard to predict. But I have no choice but to follow the Will of the Prescript."
He adjusted his stance, preparing for combat.
"Alright. Let's begin."
After that, I swung my sword with the sincere intent to kill him. However, the gap in our skill was far too clear, and he parried every attack with a smile, never losing his composure. The sight was revolting. A man driven by Prescripts, someone who doesn't even know the meaning of freedom. The moment I saw him swing something at me... I woke up to find Guest in front of me, in a place I had never seen before.
"Guest...? Where are we..."
Guest hugged me without a word. It didn't take long for me to reach the conclusion. I had lost. Because I lost, Guest was dragged here too. Because of me, Guest lost their freedom.
After that, the Spider's Nest forced Guest and me to have a child, and Yoshihide was born. Even though she was a child I hadn't wanted, I did my best for her. Because she was the child of Guest and me. And now, back to the present.
"...Guest, do you have time today? Today is the anniversary of the day we first met."
I said it thinking we might go out somewhere, but then I remembered Yoshihide, and the fact that the Spider's Nest would never let us leave. Still, I felt I had to say it. We were once free Proselytes who weren't bound by such things.
