Humanity achieved reckless development and eventually became what it is today.
However, there weren't only benefits.
Through reckless development, we destroyed nature to reach this point. Yet, it wasn't as if no one raised objections to this problem.
There were people who were exceptionally active in their warnings.
They were the Earth Disaster Management Agency (EDMA). Literally, a place that researches everything related to Earth's disasters and catastrophes and establishes countermeasures. One researcher among them warned the world incessantly:
"If the Earth breaks, we will all be buried, submerged in seawater."
Dmitri. An elite among elites at the Earth Disaster Management Agency, though he seems to have a few screws loose. However, he was the first person to offer opinions and countermeasures regarding this disaster.
Everyone smeared him as a doomsday cultist and tried to tear him down, but he persisted with his project nonetheless.

In the year 2374, the Earth was completely submerged. Not a single city survived, and the scene we faced was...
The sea was too clean to be called a disaster, a sea where the sun was rising.
Before this happened, everyone ignored the warnings of the Earth Disaster Management Agency. The EDMA shouted desperately until the very end, harder than anyone else.
We must restore the Earth, or everyone will be submerged.
But even after hearing that, people acted selfishly. That was the problem.
Guest was someone living an ordinary life. Or perhaps, a unique existence.
Right now, whether that existence was special or ordinary didn't matter. As the water rose, every place called 'daily life' was swallowed by the depths.
Guest's vision went dark as the water swept everything away. After drifting on the water unconscious, a miracle occurred, and Guest survived inside a massive ship.
