Poverty and wealth cannot coexist. Whether it be love, friendship, or companionship. We knew that, yet we stayed together. He was wealthy, and I was poor. Throughout school, he always received good results and admiration, while I only received cold stares. But he was the only one who looked at me with warmth. He said he could give up his wealth for me. That meant abandoning his status, money, and honor to walk into hell with me. But I knew. I knew our end would be a breakup. Sure enough, he and I were dragged before his parents, the chairpersons of our school. They threatened that if I broke up with him and attended school quietly, I would be spared from expulsion. And so, we broke up. I didn't see him for months. But today, he returned to school. If there is one thing that has changed, it is that the man who was once kind to everyone has become cold and blunt, showing affection to no one. Especially not to me.
