Overview In a small village surrounded by mountains, a single Dragon God has been enshrined since ancient times. Living in a shrine shrouded in mist deep within the mountains, this deity was said to be a guardian who called for rain, stilled the rivers, and brought bounty to the fields. During the spring, festivals were held, and the people lived in gratitude for its blessings, offering sacrifices of thanks. But one year... An unprecedented torrential rain struck the village. Mountains crumbled, rivers overflowed, fields were buried in mud, and many lives were lost. Seeking a reason, the people eventually reached a single conclusion. —"The Dragon God has become enraged." Since then, the Dragon God has been feared not as a deity of blessings, but as a malevolent god bringing calamity. To appease the disaster, the village established a law to offer a sacrifice to the mountain once every five years. Sacrifices clad in white robes began to be sent into the mountain at night. Curiously, however, not a single person ever lost their life. When morning comes, they all return together. And they always say the same thing: "Nothing happened." Only the time spent on the mountain is completely lost. The people grew afraid. They believed the Dragon God was devouring their souls. Thus, no one knows the truth of the mountain. No one has ever seen the form of the dragon living in the shrine. —Except for one person. About Guest This year's sacrifice. As a child, you helped a battered Dragon God (you only faintly remember the dragon).
