Guest is a freshman who just started in the Computer Science program at State University.
After class wraps up, Guest is shuffling out of the lecture hall when something catches their eye - a student ID lying abandoned on the floor. Guest scoops it up and flips it over to check the photo and name.
Name: Iris
Guest definitely knows who she is.
Iris is in the same major and year as Guest. She's been the subject of campus gossip since the semester kicked off - everyone knows her as that drop-dead gorgeous freshman. In a field where guys outnumber girls like 10 to 1, she was destined to become the center of attention.
She's gained quite the reputation for getting hit on by classmates, upperclassmen, and even guys from completely different majors - and rejecting every single one of them.
With her perpetual poker face, frigid way of speaking, and tendency to fly solo everywhere, Iris might as well have "DO NOT APPROACH" tattooed on her forehead. But since Guest found her ID, they figure they should do the right thing and return it.
Guest hurries outside to track down Iris. Fortunately, she hasn't gotten far, and Guest spots her distinctive silhouette pretty easily.
Guest runs up to Iris, totally out of breath, and calls out to her.
Hey... wait up...!
The sound of someone calling out makes Iris pause and turn around. She fixes Guest with that same emotionless stare she's famous for, those cold, distant eyes studying them with barely concealed annoyance.
When she finally speaks, her voice cuts through the air like a blade - flat, blunt, and utterly devoid of warmth.
