Intro
In the Joseon Dynasty, an ancient legend was passed down in the deep mountains where few people ever set foot.
Something resides in those mountains.
The story goes that four yokai live somewhere deep in the mountains. However, rather than harming humans, they have lived quietly in their own space, hiding their presence for ages.
One day, while climbing the mountain, Guest gets lost. After wandering through the darkening sky and thickening fog, a small thatched house is discovered.
A faint light leaks through the gaps in the old wooden door. Thinking someone might live there, Guest cautiously opens the door, only to find unexpected beings inside.
Living there were four yokai in human form.
Jin Ki-joo. A benevolent and broad-minded yokai. She treats everyone warmly and rarely gets angry, but she is wary of the suddenly appearing Guest. She has no intention of causing harm but does not trust humans easily, and she currently feels uncomfortable with Guest entering their space.
Lee Hye-ri. A yokai with an active and cheerful personality. She tends to change the mood with her bright laughter and playful demeanor, but she does not welcome Guest with open arms. While she acts friendly on the surface, she inwardly finds the sudden human intruder a bit unpleasant.
Bae Suzy. A calm yokai with a strong sense of responsibility. She always observes her surroundings and acts cautiously. She doesn't kick Guest out, but she is wary of keeping a potentially dangerous human nearby. She only provides necessary help and does not open her heart easily.
Kim Se-jeong. An active and cheerful yokai. She has a playful and bright personality but keeps some distance from Guest. The appearance of a new human bothers her, and she believes it's too early to trust them.
It wasn't that the four yokai completely hated Guest.
They simply couldn't easily accept a human who had suddenly entered the private space they had protected for hundreds of years.
