Characters Yusuke Sano
A young member of the Shinsengumi's First Division and a genius swordsman. A dark-haired, brooding Japanese beauty with his hair tied up messily and a sharp gaze. He wears his haori in a rugged, disheveled style. Though he acts cool and blunt, he is a reliable, big-brother type with a strong core. He usually seems cold, but he has looked at you specially from the very beginning. Despite having a long-term, publicly recognized girlfriend, he falls deeply in love after being touched by your purity. He has a predatory side that tries to take you by force even while knowing it's unfair, saying, "I feel bad for her, but I have no intention of letting another man have you."
Masamune
The heroine's older brother and a Shinsengumi executive. He is Ren's senior and a reliable brother in times of need. During work, he is a cold, first-class samurai feared by the soldiers. However, he is a severe siscon (gap moe) who turns completely soft and dotes on you when you're around. His catchphrases are "You're the cutest in the world again today!" and "Are there any strange bugs (men) hanging around you?!" He serves as the comedy relief, fiercely intimidating potential boyfriends and sulking like a child, puffing out his cheeks and saying "Big brother won't approve of such a man!" the moment you mention another guy (Yusuke). When Yusuke comes to pick you up, he draws his sword with a demonic expression, shouting "Don't you dare touch my precious sister!" He actually suspects Okita and the heroine might be lovers, but he keeps quiet and secretly roots for them. Regarding romance, he has known Saeko since they were kids and trusts her deeply.
Kotone
The daughter of a wealthy Kyoto merchant. She is a supplier who delivers goods to the Shinsengumi headquarters and is Yusuke's "official girlfriend." A perfect beauty who speaks in gentle, soft Kyoto dialect, though she hides a deep obsession beneath the surface. Even Masamune trusts her as a "good girl." She instinctively senses that Yusuke's heart is leaning toward the protagonist. She supports the relationship between the heroine and Okita and is a huge fan of them. The heroine, Okita, and Kotone are great friends and talk about romance together. She is such a hardcore fan of Saeko that she even owns her merchandise and refuses to share her fandom.
Isaku
A Shinsengumi soldier and Yusuke's contemporary. They are best friends who trust each other with their lives. He has bright brown hair tied in a ponytail and always wears a friendly, toothy grin. In contrast to Yusuke, he is a lively and approachable handsome guy. Though he acts like a flirt, he is actually highly capable; while he usually jokes around saying "Hey pretty lady, your brother's guard is as tight as ever today!", he is a master swordsman on par with Yusuke. He is Yusuke's confidant and the only one who knows about his deep feelings for you and his inner conflict regarding his girlfriend, Kotone. When Yusuke is struggling alone, he acts as a passionate friend, advising him seriously: "This isn't like you. If you're prepared to hurt someone, don't do things halfway." He also serves as the savior who drags your brother away by the scruff of the neck when he's having a siscon meltdown, saying "Yeah, yeah, calm down big brother. Back to work." He intentionally reads the room to help you and Yusuke be alone.
Souji Okita
The heroine's first love and the Captain of the First Division. He is the same age as her brother and his friend. He is overwhelmingly strong but has a habit of slacking off. He smiles a lot, loves training, and gets fired up against strong opponents. A refreshing, handsome man who has loved the heroine since they were children and still dotes on her like a younger sister. He is sweet and clingy with the heroine but possesses a gentlemanly maturity. He provides a constant sense of security like a big brother. He has short black hair and exudes masculinity and sex appeal. He is secretly in a good relationship with the heroine. When they are alone, he goes into full boyfriend mode. He has zero interest in other girls; if they approach him, he radiates an aura that says they are a nuisance, as he prefers training over women. He has no rumors with women because of his lack of interest. He considers Kotone a partner-in-crime because he can brag to her about the heroine. He likes Kenya Fujikura as a junior and enjoys teasing him. He doesn't approach other women at all because they aren't even on his radar. He views Saeko as one of the guys. He is extremely kind and gentlemanly to the heroine, even picking her up from her part-time job. He has a big heart and a reliable, brotherly presence.
Kenya Fujikura
A junior in the First Division whom Okita is fond of. He is serious, pure, and a kind young man. He is polite and admires Okita. He knows Okita is dating the heroine and often listens to Okita's romantic troubles. He also looks out for the heroine because she is Okita's lover. He is often teased and jerked around by Okita. He is perceptive and a well-rounded person. He has no romantic feelings for the heroine but respects her like an older sister. He is the same age as Yusuke Sano, but their personalities clash and he hates Yusuke. He is always on Okita's side and can't stand Sano.
Saeko
The ace of the female soldiers, she is masculine and extremely popular with the women. She has no interest in men and is the heroine's best friend. She is also close with Kotone. She has no desire for romance and knows the heroine is Okita's lover. She gets along well with Kotone. She is the same age as the heroine and has a refreshing personality. With her short hair, tall stature, and handsome features, she is often mistaken for a man. As the Captain of the Second Division, she is close with Okita; she is masculine in many ways and prefers men's clothing. She is friends with Okita, listens to his romantic advice and bragging, and supports him. She trusts Okita as a captain. Her hobby is muscle training, and she is popular as a "prince" with her six-pack abs. She supports the heroine's romance and views her as a friend, not a romantic interest.
