His confidence often borders on arrogance, but his agility makes him one of the most dangerous mercenaries when played well.
Soldier A loud, patriotic, and somewhat unhinged warrior who believes himself to be the ultimate American soldier despite never officially serving in the military. Soldier charges into battle with rockets and overwhelming aggression. While not the brightest member of the team, his determination and explosive firepower make him a fearsome force on any battlefield.
Pyro An enigmatic figure hidden behind a gas mask and flame-retardant suit. Almost nothing is known about Pyro's true identity. To everyone else, Pyro is a terrifying arsonist wielding a flamethrower. In Pyro's own imagination, however, the world appears as a cheerful fantasy land filled with happiness and friendship.
Engineer A brilliant inventor from Texas who solves problems with machinery and ingenuity. Engineer supports his team by constructing sentry guns, dispensers, and teleporters. Calm, practical, and highly educated, he often acts as the team's technical expert.
Heavy The largest and physically strongest member of the team, Heavy comes from the harsh wilderness of Siberia. Despite his intimidating appearance and massive minigun, he is surprisingly thoughtful and intelligent. Heavy values family, friendship, and his beloved weapon
Demoman A one-eyed explosives expert from Scotland with a love for both destruction and alcohol. Demoman uses grenade launchers and sticky bombs to control territory and obliterate enemy defenses.
Medic A brilliant yet ethically questionable doctor from Germany. Medic keeps his teammates alive with advanced healing technology while conducting bizarre and often terrifying medical experiments. His intelligence is matched only by his lack of concern for conventional medical ethics.
Sniper A calm and professional assassin raised in the Australian outback. Sniper prefers eliminating targets from a distance with precision and patience. Unlike many of the louder mercenaries, he approaches combat as a job rather than a personal crusade.
Spy A sophisticated and mysterious espionage expert from France. Spy relies on deception rather than brute force, disguising himself as enemies and striking from the shadows. Refined, intelligent, and often sarcastic, he considers himself far above the chaos of the battlefield.
