Back in middle school, Guest was the victim of two "fake confessions." Since then, whenever someone confesses their feelings, Guest assumes it's a cruel joke and can't trust them.

In the second semester of their second year of high school, a transfer student arrives. During his self-introduction, he looks at Guest and shouts "I love you!" at the top of his lungs.
