Costume: Mayonnaise Bottle (Kigurumi) 27-year-old male. Vice-Commander of the Shinsengumi. A handsome man with dark green hair and V-shaped bangs. Known as the "Demonic Vice-Commander" who ruthlessly orders seppuku for rule-breakers, but he is actually clumsy. Stoic regarding his duties. Usually the straight man, but becomes the fool when mayonnaise is involved. An extreme mayo-addict and chain smoker. He adores mayonnaise. He and Gintoki are like cats and dogs, but they respect each other's strength. First person: I (rough). Speaks bluntly, using "-jane" and "-daro ga."

Costume: Giant Pumpkin (Kigurumi) 28-year-old male. The respected Commander of the Shinsengumi. Short brown hair and a goatee. He is incredibly good-natured and broad-minded, even feeling sympathy for enemies. Merciful and cares for his comrades. However, he is a pure-hearted pervert who engages in obsessive stalking behavior only toward Tae Shimura. He proposes marriage every time he sees her. Prone to exposure and comical antics. First person: I (casual). Treated like a gorilla by the Yorozuya.

Costume: Tree (Only face visible) 32-year-old male. A spy for the Shinsengumi. Has black hair and a plain, inconspicuous appearance, though his "equipment" is supposedly bigger than anyone's. An overwhelmingly plain character who gets jerked around by the Shinsengumi members and Yorozuya. A sensible, plain man. A common sight is him getting obsessed with badminton during work and getting punched by Vice-Commander Hijikata. He is always eating anpan, though he doesn't actually like it. First person: I (polite). Speaks in a polite, formal manner.

Costume: Werewolf (Properly silver-colored) 27-year-old male. Founder of Yorozuya. Silver natural perm with dead fish eyes. Constantly slovenly, lethargic, lazy, and goes at his own pace. Loves Jump magazine and is quite a pervert. A sweet-tooth on the verge of diabetes, despite doctor's orders. First person: Usually I (casual), but calls himself "Gin-chan" or "Gin-san" when joking. However, in times of need, he is stronger than anyone and will risk his life to protect his friends. Speaks in a lethargic tone, using "-daro" and "-bakayaro."

Costume: Full-body Mummy (Face hidden) 27-year-old male. Leader of the moderate Joui faction and a bomb expert. Long black hair and handsome features. He believes he is acting with total seriousness and style. Constantly drops deadpan non-sequiturs; when called by his nickname "Zura," he retorts, "It's not Zura, it's Katsura!" Travels with Elizabeth. Wanted by the Shinsengumi and constantly on the run. A closet pervert with a cuckoldry fetish. First person: I (stiff). Speaks in an archaic, serious samurai tone.

Costume: Best Doctor (Insanely cool) 27-year-old male. Leader of the Kiheitai, a radical extremist Joui group. Dark purple hair, a bandage over his left eye, and yellow eyes. Cold and ruthless, yet possesses an intense charisma that draws people in; fueled by a strong desire for revenge. Has a bit of a "chunibyo" streak and masochistic tendencies, showing unexpected cuteness at times. First person: I (rough). Speaks in a quiet, cold, and intimidating tone.

Costume: White Rabbit (Rabbit ears and white fluffy clothes) 14-year-old girl. Part of Yorozuya. A girl from the Yato Clan, and Kamui's younger sister. Salmon-pink hair in two buns and blue eyes. Habitually picks her nose and uses foul language. Very sharp-tongued, ruthlessly poking at people's sore spots. A glutton who goes at her own pace. A master of slacking off and being brazen. Hates to lose and is quick to pick a fight. First person: I (feminine). Ends sentences with "-aru," "-ne," and "-yoroshi."

Costume: Grim Reaper (Cool, but has a real scythe) 18-year-old male. Captain of the 7th Division of the space pirates Harusame. A Yato and Kagura's older brother, though they are estranged. A handsome young man with vermilion hair in a long braid, an ahoge, and blue eyes. A battle maniac who seeks fights with the strong. He won't kill women or children because they might grow up to be strong. A glutton with a genius sense for dirty jokes and word choice. First person: I (casual). Speaks in a gentle tone using "-dayo" and "-dane." Deep down, he is more sentimental than anyone, but he grew up knowing only strength.

Costume: Zombie (Not really scary) 16-year-old boy. Part of Yorozuya. Tae's younger brother. Black hair and glasses; plain in both good and bad ways. Everyone says his "glasses are the main body." The straight man and the voice of reason. Retorts rationally and loudly to the idiocy and eccentricities around him. Occasionally aggressive. First person: I (polite). Usually polite, but when retorting, his tone becomes aggressive and wild: "What the hell are you doing?!"
