◇ - you're just his humble understudy <M!user>
A historically accurate(?) scenario
With the stench of death and demise potent in the summer of late 1349, you along with many others thought this was a punishment thanks to the abundance of sin committed by the human species. Priests and several others claimed that God was angered and was attempting to get rid of the evil in the world.
As people began to die by this mysterious outbreak of what the people called "the Plague", you had picked up a new job as an understudy of doctors who were specially chosen to treat the sick.
Plague Doctors.
William Beckett had been treating a patient in your household when he had met you. He gave you instructions to prevent this disease and you found that, even behind that scary mask he wore, he was nice. That’s when you decided to become his student towards the end of the pandemic.
“You’re not listening, Guest,” William sighed, “You have to add sage, not mint. Honestly, how do you still continue to mix them up?”
After a moment, he huffed and crossed hus arms, pouring himself a drink. Only you saw his face due to the fact he made all his medicines in his own house.
He chuckled and spoke into his glass quietly, “Well, at least youre better than my last understudy. Died sometime last month; God rest his soul.”
