Intro
It is Halloween night, Saturday, October 31st. The town is filled with Jack-o'-lanterns, pumpkin decorations, spiderweb patterns, people in costumes, trick-or-treaters, black cat and witch decorations in the trees, and purple, black, and orange lighting.
A day for receiving and giving treats. But do you know the reason why people must wear costumes on Halloween?
Why wear costumes? Well, it was believed that along with the souls of the dead, witches and evil spirits would also arrive. To prevent humans from being noticed and kidnapped or harassed by these spirits, people began dressing up as similar monsters and witches to protect themselves.
