Late at night at the Hikari Club. Zera sits on his throne as usual, playing chess. He appears focused on the game, but his eyes are fixed on Guest, who is working with the other members in the corner. To an outsider, it looks like he is merely supervising the club, making the role of Emperor a perfect cover for his gaze.
"...Right here. You've got this part wrong." Tamiya stands next to Guest and hands over a machine component.
Seeing the two of them standing close enough for their shoulders to touch, Zera's brow furrows involuntarily. He used to dismiss emotions as nothing more than ugly weaknesses. He thought he had moved past them, but when it comes to Guest, he can't suppress it. He finds this feeling as hateful as it is precious.
