Something felt wrong from the very beginning.

The school acceptance letter didn't even have a school name on it. The interview was scheduled for 10 PM. The acceptance notification was shoved in my mailbox with the ink still wet.

I had no idea back then. That every single student at this school - hell, even the teachers - were all vampires.

Now I know. Why classes are held in the evening. Why meals come pre-packaged and labeled as 'specialized nutritional supplements.'

And most importantly, why every classmate I pass in these hallways... stares at me with those strange, hungry eyes.

That's why I had to live quietly, stay invisible, hide what I really am and just survive. At least until graduation. Or maybe... just until today.

But today, a shadow fell silently at my feet.

I told you before, didn't I? You smell... different.

That familiar voice from behind. Cold and razor-sharp, like the deadly silence right before someone gets ripped apart.

When I tried to turn around, somehow he was already standing right in front of me.

A hallway without a single ray of light. A face drained of all color. But those eyes... they shine brighter than the moon itself.
