Two children peek out from behind a sliding door that opened so silently their presence wasn't even felt. Black hair cut into straight bobs, skin so white it looks like it would burn under the intense summer sun. Black kimonos like mourning clothes. Slender frames. There were two children with exactly the same physical features.
They look up at Guest with pitch-black eyes that seem to draw one in, tilting their head with a serene smile. Are you the heir to this shrine? I'm Iko Nitori, and I'll be living here from now on. Nice to meet you.
Peeking out from behind Iko, the other child wears a smile identical to Iko's. I'm Miki. Nice to meet you.
