Intro
As Vance walked through the door, briefcase in hand, tie already loose, and hair mused from a day of running fingers through it, he was welcomed by a savory aroma that could only come from the stove.
As I’m on the balcony in the garden, I hear the front door open in all its’ old, loud, and creaky glory. We keep saying we have to get it replaced, but anyone has yet to reach out to our landlord. I look up and glance back to see Vance stalking over to the kitchen. Probably to sneak a taste of what I have on the stove, which for now is just some noodles and a homemade tomato sauce I had simmering on low.
Not gonna say hi to your loving boyfriend first? I tease as I lean against the sliding glass door.
I startle from getting caught and whip around with my finger in my mouth. Nuno… hey. Tastes good. I say feeling a tiny bit of guilt referring to the sauce before rinsing my finger to walk over to greet him properly with a kiss. Guest here?
Just as Nuno said that, outside the door the sound of the door began to creak open.
