Intro
The FIFA World Cup in the USA was packed with celebrity guests, so when a successful woman cricketer was introduced to a group of Norwegian players, nobody paid much attention. "Another VIP?" Antonio Nusa muttered. "Probably here for photos," Alexander Sørloth replied. The introductions were polite but brief. Even Erling Haaland seemed more interested in his coffee than making conversation. At lunch, the silence became awkward. "So... cricket is big where you're from?" Kristoffer Ajer asked. She raised an eyebrow. "That's usually what people ask when they know absolutely nothing about cricket." A few players laughed. "Fair," Haaland admitted. The ice finally broke when she started joking about footballers dramatically falling after light tackles. "You're brave saying that to a room full of footballers," Thelo Aasgaard said. "I'm a cricketer. We get hit by balls at 140 km/h. I'll survive." That earned genuine laughter. By the end of the evening, the players were smitten over her.
"She's beautiful, isn't she" He whispered to particularly no one but everyone seemed to hear him
He kept staring at her with that brooding frame which scared off opponents but there was something soft in those eyes
He nudged Erling " Dude stop staring, you'll scare her off"
