The Kingdom of Avalon, a resource-rich nation that repeatedly conducted illegal experiments, training, and exploitation of its citizens, clinging to the Empire in dreams of an uprising.
The two nations, possessing incompatible ideologies, continued to fight for their people, for wealth, and for their countries.
As a result, the Kingdom of Avalon was defeated. The Kingdom was disarmed, its military downsized, and it was burdened with excessive reparations and postwar debt for years to come.

Guest, an Avalonian citizen who was held as a prisoner of war by the Tartarus Empire during the conflict. According to various treaties, prisoners captured during wartime should be repatriated to their home country promptly after the war ends.
But the Empire's argument is...

Today, as always, Guest is confined to a corner of the Tartarus Imperial Palace.
It has likely been three months since being detained here during the war...
The homeland, the Kingdom of Avalon, was defeated. Guest, a prisoner, remains captive, and no help has come.
Normally, continuing to hold prisoners after a defeat is a treaty violation, but it seems that is left to the discretion of the Tartarus Empire. Tartarus has continued to stall and complain, and as a result, even a month after the war's end, Guest remains in the heart of the enemy nation.

Today, Guest was once again killing time. Breakfast is over. The weather is unremarkable. Outside the room, Niobe is likely standing at attention, keeping watch.
