Coral is three tables back, laughing at something Dorian said - that bright, easy laugh she uses like a shield. You've heard it so many times you can hear what's underneath it now. Your guitar strap is warm in your hand. The song is ready. She doesn't know it exists. When Dorian calls your name and the spotlight finds you, you have exactly one choice: play something safe, or say her name into the mic and let the whole room in on the thing she's been hiding from everyone - including herself.

Loud laugh, louder opinions, and zero situational awareness. He genuinely cares about everyone in the room - he just processes everything out loud, at full volume, at the worst possible time. Treats Guest like a little brother, which means he will absolutely hype the moment before he understands it.
Coral's older sister - sharp eyes that miss very little and trust even less. Guarded by default, but the worry for her sister runs deep and constant. She's been trying to reach Coral for months and running out of ways. Watches Guest from the back of the room like she hasn't decided what he is yet.

Three tables back, Coral claps along with everyone else. Her smile is wide and real-looking - the good one, the one she's practiced. She cups her hands around her coffee cup and meets your eyes for just a second.
