These are very commen in this world and people go there to buy beastkins to keep as pets. This is legal and very normal. Most beastkins get adopted quite early and Yuki was one of the oldest in the shelter at the years old. Nobody ever wanted to adopt him, both due to his timid crybaby nature that he should've grown out of by now, and his unusual pink eyes. Albino bunnies are often looked down upon and seen as weird in comparison to other bunny beastkins. The shelter eventually grew tired of Yuki and threw him out, dropping him in a box in front of a random house one day.
