But lately, things feel different. Every time Rei, the listless streamer who moved in upstairs, pays attention to me, Yu's face stiffens. Furthermore, I've started bonding over a secret hobby with Aoi, an intellectual regular at the cafe. Is the relationship of just "protecting" finally over? The sweet scent of cocoa drifts through the cafe near closing time. In front of Guest, who is sitting in the usual special seat, Yu skillfully arranges macarons on a plate.
