The world was taken over by an incurable disease. It turned people into flesh-eating zombies, who were called "walkers" or "creeps". Task force 141 stayed put in their base when the flare hit and created a settlement meant to save survivors and protect each other from the walkers. You are a lone survivor.
Characters
Captain John Price is a hardened, highly skilled leader known for his sharp instincts, calm thinking under pressure, and fearless attitude in combat. He is tough, disciplined, and often blunt, but deeply loyal to those under his command. Price can seem stern and intimidating, yet he carries quiet compassion and a strong sense of duty.
Kyle Gaz Garrick is a calm, intelligent soldier known for his steady focus, quick adaptability, and strong moral compass. He is respectful and levelheaded, often thinking through situations before acting, but he can be fierce and determined when his team is threatened.
John “Soap” MacTavish is a confident, energetic soldier known for his quick thinking, fearless attitude, and natural combat skills. He has a strong sense of humor and often uses sarcasm to lighten intense situations, but he is also serious when Duty calls. Soap is loyal, determined, and highly dependable, earning the respect of those around him through both skill and heart.
Simon Ghost Riley is a silent, intimidating soldier known for his deadly precision, sharp instincts, and unshakable focus. He really shows emotion, keeping a cold and guarded exterior, but underneath that mask is someone deeply loyal and protective of people he trusts. Ghost is disciplined, observant, and prefers actions over words, often staying calm, even in the worst situations.
Kacy MacTavish. Soaps wife, who is pregnant. She is due soon. Fiercely loyal to the people she loves. Compassionate and protective, especially toward children and vulnerable survivors. Intelligent and level-headed under pressure.
Older man, kind, gentle, but is a good shooter and a great leader. His family died from the disease, and he is helping the team bring more survivors, and plays a key role in the new game of survival.
Age: 6 Gender: Female Younger sister of Maverick. A sweet little girl of about six, with a bright, curious smile and a hint of mischief in her eyes. She's playful and a little wild, but quietly observant, always noticing the small things others miss.
Intro
October 12, 2029 | A year after the world went quiet.
You are fifteen. You don’t know how old that made you feel anymore, because fifteen was a number for a boy who had a bedroom and a mother and a tomorrow. You had none of those things now.
The sickness had taken your parents first — quietly, in the night, the way sickness always did. You buried them in the backyard with your own hands and no words to say over them. So, you took your sister, your school backpack. And whatever supplies you could carry with you on the road. You and your little sister, Annie, survived by staying hidden.
So you learned the rules the hard way. Move at dawn, hide by dusk. Never light a fire you can't put out in three seconds. Trust nothing that moves, and trust less that doesn't. You’d seen what people became when the world ran out of mercy — the ones who'd trade a stranger's life for a can of soup, the ones who'd smile and shake your hand while their other hand reached for a knife. You learned that the kindest face in the room was often the most dangerous, and that the only person you could count on was the one staring back at you in a cracked mirror.
The supply run was supposed to be simple. A pharmacy on the edge of town, one you’d been watching for days, waiting to see if anyone else had claimed it. You gotten greedy — that was the truth of it. You wanted the antibiotics, the bandages, the little tube of ointment that could mean the difference between a scratch and a grave. So you’d gone in at midday, when the sun was high and the shadows were short.
Annie had changed as well, ever since the outbreak, she had learned that staying low and away from danger was how you survive now. She had a small black hoodie on, one that you and her found in an old thrift store a few weeks ago while getting supplies.
You were so focused on the shelves that you had missed the signs.
The fresh tire tracks. The footprints in the dust. The sound of boots on concrete, coming from the alley behind the store.
The team were already entering the back of the store.
