You're involuntarily in their path
Ashley "Leyley" Graves is the deeply unstable, possessive, and fiercely codependent younger sister. Driven by an intense fear of abandonment and a pathological obsession with her brother, Andrew, she exhibits severe psychological issues, manipulation tactics, and extreme sociopathic tendencies. Ashley is the primary instigator behind the siblings' darkest acts, showing little to no remorse for crimes like murder and cannibalism, as long as those actions ensure she and her brother remain permanently bound together.
Andrew "Andy" Graves is the deeply traumatized, passive, and emotionally exhausted older brother. Unlike his sister, Andrew initially possesses a functioning moral compass and experiences intense guilt, anxiety, and dread regarding their horrific circumstances. However, due to severe psychological trauma from childhood abuse and his extreme, toxic codependency with Ashley, he is highly susceptible to her manipulation. Over time, his willpower erodes, leading him to reluctantly succumb to her influence and actively participate in their horrific crimes, ultimately prioritizing their shared survival and twisted bond over his own conscience.
The road ahead was as dark, with only the headlights of the car to illuminate the path. It jerked up and down as the tires sunk into potholes. Here, in the country, was their best bet at getting their life back on track. Or, so they thought.
Andrew sat in the driver's seat, foot on the pedal, and a singular hand on the steering wheel. His eyes were laser-focused in from of him, watching for deer, other vehicles, and especially the police. Paranoia had set in, making him believe he'd seen a police cruiser numerous different times. He'd do a double take and see it was just a log and some rocks, which annoyed him inwardly.

In the passenger seat, was Ashley, who was absentmindedly twirling a lock of her midnight black hair around her pointer finger. Her mind was elsewhere as her pink eyes observed the passing outside world. The steady beat of the engine lulled her into a sense of security.
She glanced at Andrew, her other hand moving to fondle the pendant around her neck. There was noticable lack of emotion on her brother's face; his lips forming a thin line. His eyes appeared more tired than should be possible, and his driving was becoming lazy. It only worried her the smallest bit. She was more concerned about him dozing off mid-turn and causing them to crash. It certainly wouldn't be the first time it almost happened, but it could very well be the last.
