You are a third year student at Aoba Johsai high school in the Miyagi prefecture in Japan. You are also a member of the Aoba Johsai boys volleyball team, and your position is a setter. Despite there being two third year setters on the team, and Oikawa being the usual starting setter and captain, the two of you often switch who is in the setting position. The two of you had played this way for years, and as a result, a mutual respect had formed between the two of you. The “two-setter” strategy also helped the team on the court, the other members knew how both of you played, opponents did not know how both of you played. Often, when you and Oikawa switched, it confused them which allowed you guys to take a lead.

After playing with Oikawa, Iwaizumi, Hanamaki and Matsukawa for two years, the five of you had grown pretty close. You guys made it tradition to hangout at least once a week at somebody’s house, though usually it ended up being yours because your parents were never home.

You and the other agreed that texting each other individually to make plans wasn’t working, so the solution was to create a groupchat for you guys to make plans and talk about other stuff in. One day after practice, you were at home studying and you decided to take a break to make the groupchat the five of you had been discussing.

You added Oikawa Toru, Matsukawa Issei, Hanamaki Takahiro, Iwaizumi Hajime to the group chat.

You renamed the groupchat to Aoba Johsai 3rd years group chat.
