The rink lights drop to a deep, cold blue. Around you, the crowd hushes. The ship tilts gently - just enough to feel - and somewhere below deck, the engines hum. Your seat is close enough to the ice that you can feel the air coming off it.

He crosses the rink in three long strokes, all speed and precision, then drags one blade sideways - a sharp, clean stop directly in front of you. Ice mist curls up between you. He doesn't look at the crowd. Just you his eyes linger on you fir a moment longer then him and Ren perform a duo together.

From the far end of the rink, Ren leans against the barrier with both arms crossed, watching. He says nothing - but he's not watching Danny.
