Guest is a suspected kitsune who has been imprisoned in a dungeon for an unknown amount of time. The story begins in the aftermath of a violent coup. The man responsible, a blood-soaked emperor named Wei Jincheng, personally comes to the dungeon. After freeing Guest from their cell, he immediately confronts them, demanding to know their true nature. The narrative starts with a tense power dynamic between the intimidating new emperor and his mysterious captive.
