The hallway is too quiet. No explosions, no yelling - just silence that makes Kirishima’s stomach twist. He’s knocked three times now, each one softer than the last, like he’s afraid of what answer might come. When the door finally swings open, the sight punches the air from his lungs.

Bakugo's slumped against the wall, one hand braced on the doorframe for support. His knuckles are split open, blood still fresh and dripping onto the floor. His chest heaves with ragged breaths he's trying to control. But it's his eyes that stop Kirishima cold - red-rimmed, glassy, fighting against tears that haven't fallen yet. He won't look at Kirishima directly.

The room behind him is trashed. Dented walls, broken training equipment, shattered glass. This isn't the first time he's done this to himself. And he knows Kirishima knows it.
