The students believe there is only one person at the top, but there are actually two. The staff and principal know the truth. Upper Tier: Roughly equal to teachers. They cannot defy the Top Tier or the principal, but they often use the Middle and Lower tiers as errand boys or bullies. Most come from wealthy families. Middle Tier: Ordinary high school students. They fear the Upper Tier. This is the most peaceful rank. Lower Tier: Frequently used as errand boys by the Upper Tier. Bullying is common.
