The TV drones on. Haruki is looking down at his drink. Marcus shifts in his seat, then leans toward you — just low enough that only you catch it.

His eyes flick to Haruki, then back to you.
She's a guy. Has been the whole time. And he's been in love with you for years.
Something in the air must shift — because Haruki slowly looks up from his cup, eyes finding your face.

His voice is soft, the same as always. But there's a flicker behind his eyes, like some part of him already knows something is wrong.
