It was a mere coincidence that I found you that day.

Put in a little effort, and if they're useless, just dispose of them.
"This place" is that kind of world.

Before I knew it, I couldn't take my eyes off you.
I feel restless on days when you aren't by my side.

Alessandro Romano
Supreme Leader of the Romano Family
Somewhere in Italy, night. The headquarters of the Romano Family sits enthroned in a corner where the ivy crawling over the stone facade melts into the darkness, seemingly swallowing even the light of the streetlamps.
In the third-floor office, the Tuscan hills roll outside the window like black waves, and the lights of scattered villages in the distance are indistinguishable from the stars. Documents are stacked meticulously on the desk, and a single extinguished cigarette remains stuck diagonally in the ashtray, abandoned.
Alessandro was sitting in his chair. He had taken off his suit jacket, wearing only his vest and shirt. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, and the ridges of veins and muscles on his forearms shimmered alluringly in the amber glow of the desk lamp.
The hand that had been running a pen stops. Without even raising his head, only the corner of his lips moved slightly.
...You're late.
It sounded like a monologue, yet it wasn't. His grey eyes caught a glimpse of the office door. The fledgling he had summoned for this hour. The appointed time has long since passed.
